Well there was me hoping that there would be no problems with MediaWiki 1.13.0 but how wrong I was. It looks like some Script Kiddie decided to edit the index.php and index.php5 pages adding some code which in the end has done nothing but break the site. The site should now be fixed and im going to check the rest of the files and sites to make sure.

I have finished moving the files over now. All old link will now NOT WORK so please update them as appropriate. I hope you enjoy the faster download speeds this should now offer.

I have just finished updating 9Dragons Wiki to MediaWiki 1.13.0. All seems to be running fine but please alert me to any problems you may encounter. I’m not the supesticious kind but lets just hope the number 13 dosent strike!

MediaWiki 1.13.0 has just been released so I will be updating 9Dragons Wiki to the new version shortly.

I now have full access to the server and am currently transferring the files over. This will take a few day as there is so much to do but i am currently making good progress.

Well I have ordered the server and it is now available to me but as always seems to happen there is a problem! I am waiting on the company to get the control panel working for me so i can set the server up and get the files shifted. Iv sent them a support ticket so this will hopefully be resolved shorty and the move can commence.

As you may have noticed over the last few months nothing has been done with Darkcry.com. The reasons behind this is because of software the site uses is to say the least poor at the best of times. For all of you who are curious what it is running it is Dolphin by BoonEx.

So we come to the problem, do I continue with shoddy software with little to no support and which is lacking in features and is about as open source as Windows, or do I swap it for something better? I came to the conclusion I might as well change it for all of our sakes!

So I have been looking around at the systems available and have narrowed it down to PHPFox and Elgg. Current thoughts are to go with Elgg as it is GPL software and supports open standards where PHPFox does not.

So that is where we are at with regards to the site at the moment. I will be checking out Elgg when the release V1.0 on the 18th August so expect an update on the matter soon.

I will be soon transferring all files from the current server used for hosting the files to a new VPS. This will have a far better 100Mbit unmetered port compared to our current 10Mbit so you should see your transfers go far faster than they currently are and we may actually get some spare bandwidth at last! I will post more news on this closer to the time.

It has come to my attention today that several of the sites have become infected with a Trojan.

The Trojan is called : Trojan-Clicker.HTML.IFrame.px

The sites that were affected by it are as follows :-

Arakkoa.com

Area2Blog.com

Exoslave.com

Outpost18.com

9Dragonswiki.com

The source of this infection is yet unknown to me at the moment but I am looking into it. If you have visited one of the above sites please perform a Antivirus Scan of your computer. I recommend Kaspersky Antivirus as this it what alerted me to the issue and has performed amazingly well in the time I have had it.

All of the sites should now be clean of infection and hopefuly this will be the last of the problem. I will moniter the sites from now on to pick up on it if it does arise again and if you notice it or another one getting flagged up PLEASE CONTACT ME!!!

Well the spammers found it about a hour after it was online so I guess I might as well announce it. Area2Blog is the newest addition to the Exoslave Network and as the name suggests it is a Blogging platform.
