As the site has just been hacked again and I am having to wade through ever mounting piles of spam every day I have made the decision to move away from PHP-Nuke to WordPress and a separate PHPbb installation. The lack of security in PHP-Nuke is showing recently and there is no reliable way of blocking the spam. WordPress on the other hand is quick on the security updates and has the option of using Askimet and reCAPTCHA which will help me a lot. Unfortunately there is no easy way of importing all the posts from PHP-Nuke into WordPress that I am currently aware of so looks like we will be starting from scratch again. The old site will be archived by me but will no longer be publicly available due to the security risk it could pose and I don’t want the spammers to be able to make any more use of it!

So there we have it I guess. I am currenty working on the move at the moment and will hopefully have it complete by tonight.
